Washington Dulles will be the carrier’s 10th station in North America to join the Cargo Connector network. This new addition coincides with the fifth anniversary of the export collection and import delivery service, which takes freight directly from the aircraft and delviers it to the forwarders’ handling facilities.

“Cargo Connector has been an important competitive differentiator for us and has been a huge success in the North American market and beyond,” said Joe Le Beau, vice president of North America at IAG Cargo. “Offering the service at Washington Dulles Airport will benefit forwarders by making it easier to get goods to market quickly and with maximum ease.”

IAG Cargo operates three flights every day into and out of Washington Dulles, with cargo arriving from hubs such as London Heathrow and Dublin. The route typically carries commodities including medication, chemical products and machine parts into the region.

IAG Cargo currently offers the Cargo Connector service in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco and Seattle.
