UPS LAUNCHES WORLDWIDE EXPRESS FREIGHT MIDDAY

UPS has introduced UPS Worldwide Express Freight Midday, an extension of the current UPS Worldwide Express Freight service.

According to UPS, the new service offers a commit time of 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. from all 71 origin countries to 35 key destination countries that represent over two-thirds of global GDP.

“We have customers in the industrial, auto, high-tech and healthcare fields that need shipments fast and sometimes end of day just isn’t soon enough,” said John Miltenis, VP of international marketing at UPS. “Our new Midday service is unique in the market and provides our customers with a strong competitive advantage when timing is critical.”

The latest addition to the UPS Worldwide Express package portfolio provides guaranteed, time-definite delivery for urgent, international palletized shipments over 150 lbs. Door-to-door delivery is made in as few as one to three days, with customs brokerage included.

UPS recently expanded its Worldwide Express Freight service to Latvia, Lebanon and Lithuania, and added outbound service to Saudi Arabia.

UPS’s fastest palletized scheduled day-definite, door-to-door delivery can be made in 71 origin and 67 destination countries and territories, including one or two business days from Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas to the US; one or two business days from Hong Kong to the US, Asia Pacific, Europe and Canada; and two or three business days from Asia Pacific, the US and the Americas to Europe.

The UPS Worldwide Express product has also been expanded to more than 7,000 postal codes in 57 countries. Worldwide Express now offers guaranteed delivery to 124 countries globally by 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. depending on the destination, according to UPS.
