WACO APPOINTS REPRESENTATIVE IN MAURITIUS, MADAGASCAR AND RÉUNION

Forwarder network The WACO System has appointed Velogic Ltd as its representative in Mauritius, Madagascar and Réunion.

According to WACO, Velogic is headquartered in Port Louis, Mauritius, and has 32 offices in eight territories providing a full range of logistics services across numerous sectors, including fashion, construction, healthcare and project cargo.

“These three countries each represent a key gateway between Africa and Asia; two continents that have seen strong growth in demand for logistics services thanks largely to the increased trade between each other,” said Richard Charles, executive director of The WACO System. “Velogic offers an extensive service across many sectors and has strong local knowledge of these countries, which will provide our members with new opportunities for business.”

Velogic has been in operation for over 40 years and offers supply chain services such as customs clearance, warehousing and packaging for air, sea and road freight.

“We believe that The WACO System will provide us with a network of partners which will help us expand our business, and which we will help to grow as well,” said Denis Hung, chief operations officer of Velogic Ltd. “In Mauritius, we offer regular opportunities to and from the different islands through regular connections, whether they be via air or ocean.”

The WACO System is a network of independent freight forwarders and holds two events a year to facilitate face-to-face bilateral meetings for members.
