Since April 2018, over 2,650 tonnes of mangoes have been exported by Emirates SkyCargo from India, out of which 2,142 tonnes were from Mumbai. Major markets for Indian mangoes include the Middle East, UK, US, Canada and other parts of Europe.

The peak export season for Indian mangoes normally falls between April and June every year, with the state of Maharashtra being the largest grower in the country and exporting over 30,000 tonnes every year.

Between April and June 2018, SkyCargo also exported over 2,290 tonnes of other perishables from Mumbai, including a large volume of fruits and vegetables to the UK and the Middle East region during Ramadan, one of the busiest seasons for exports of perishables.

Fruits and vegetables are transported using the Emirates Fresh product, a specialized range of solutions that help keep perishables fresh during air transportation.
