SEASPAN APPOINTS NEW CHIEF HR OFFICER

Seaspan Corporation has appointed Tina Lai to the newly created position of chief human resources officer.

 

According to Seaspan, Lai will provide leadership in all aspects of the company’s functions relating to human capital, including talent acquisition, communications, training, development and total performance rewards.

 

Prior to joining Seaspan, Lai spent five years at wood and composite molding supplier Metrie, where she was vice president of human resources and part of the senior leadership team.

 

Lai has 20 years of experience as a human resources professional. She has also served in leadership positions in a number of industries with responsibilities including oversight of sales and customer service, channel marketing, corporate communications, culture transformation and organizational effectiveness.

 

Seaspan’s operating fleet consists of 112 container ships with a total capacity of more than 900,000 TEUs and an average age of approximately five years.
