CORE DELIVERS 15,000TH BLUETOOTH TRACKING TAG

CORE Transport Technologies has delivered its 15,000th COREInsight Bluetooth tracking tag for active deployment.

According to CORE, the patented container and pallet tags utilize low-energy Bluetooth beacons to actively track assets. They offer increased battery life, field of view, ease of installation and cost effectiveness compared to other tracking solutions used to manage assets and shipments.

“Whilst others might have wishful upstart efforts with Bluetooth Low Energy or similar technologies for the airline industry, it’s factual and fair to say we are already there, with a very large proven network that is only getting bigger and more effective as a logistics tool every week, every month,” said Ian Craig, CEO of CORE. “We are accelerating our progress for our air carrier customers, others are merely playing catch-up.”

The COREInsight Bluetooth tracking tag started as an idea in early 2016. The company’s R&D department completed operational trials during the first half of 2017 and the global launch of the technology took place at the ULD Care Conference in Budapest in October 2017, with launch customers Delta Air Lines, Air New Zealand and Alaska Airlines. With ACL Airshop acting as sales agent partner, over 15 airlines are currently in various stages of implementing CORE’s Bluetooth tracking technology across their ULD fleets.

CORE’s real-time tracking network extends to over 100 major airports and 650 sub-locations worldwide, after the addition of 30 new cities and 85 sub-locations just last month.
