“The enhancements to portoflosangeles.org are built around our three pillars: business, community, and environment,” said Gene Seroka, executive director of the Port of Los Angeles. “The improved website is part of our ongoing commitment to transparency by providing fast and easy access to information on desktop and mobile platforms.”

The home page now features a quick search tool which allows users to readily locate information on a dozen most regularly searched topics. Search relevance and results have been improved by new search engine technology.

The whole website has been designed to automatically change screen size and content to fit a user’s device. User connectivity and sharing have also been enhanced with new social media tools that have been incorporated as part of the overall design.

The website team worked with technology partner Status Not Quo to seek extensive input from a range of regular port website users to design and optimize the site. The new website also features enhanced accessibility for those with disabilities such as impaired vision, according to the Port of Los Angeles.
