CEVA Logistics has appointed Serge Corbel as its new chief financial officer from October 15, 2018.
According to CEVA, Corbel will replace Peter Waller, who has been group CFO since 2016 and will be pursuing other opportunities outside of the company.
Corbel has been in the logistics industry for more than 30 years and has been with the CMA CGM group for more than 25 years. He has extensive sector know-how and comprehensive experience in running complex financial organizations in Europe, America and Asia. He was one of the key financial architects of the growth of CMA CGM and led the acquisition of Neptune Orient Lines.
“I would like to thank Peter Waller for his commitment and contribution which was very important to create a new chapter for the company,” said Xavier Urbain, CEO of CEVA Logistics. “I am pleased to welcome Serge Corbel as our new CFO who has tremendous experience and a great track record in supporting the growth of a company.”
CMA CGM received regulatory approval for the acquisition of a 24.99% stake in CEVA Logistics in July 2018.
