“At a micro level, we need to demonstrate at all times that we govern the ever-growing sophisticated needs of the global healthcare supply chain pertinently and transparently,” said Franco Nanna, director of global logistics services at Cargolux and chairman of IATA’s Time and Temperature Task Force. “The GDP re-certification underlines Cargolux’s strong commitment to the safe and expedient movement of high-value temperature-sensitive healthcare goods across its global network. It also recognizes the company’s continuous drive for service quality that is much appreciated by customers and partners alike.”

The carrier’s fleet of 12 Boeing 747-400Fs and 14 747-8Fs each offers four independently controlled temperature zones and a team of cool chain experts are available to help customers ensure an end-to-end temperature-controlled process.

Cargolux was the first airline to become GDP-certified in January 2014.
