Lufthansa Cargo has honoured its most valuable forwarding partners for the first time by acknowledging them as Premium Road Partners.

Key criteria in the selection process included reliability, flexibility and punctuality.

I am extremely pleased to be able to bestow on the best of these the title of Premium Road Partner to Lufthansa Cargo today. We all share the goal of offering our customers the best service at all times. And we want to continue down this successful road together.”

Lufthansa Cargo signed new contracts with the forwarders in 2016 on a guaranteed rate of acceptance.

Approximately 600,000 tonnes of cargo were transported by the road feeder service in 2016, with 65,000 scheduled trips in Europe and 26,000 outside of Europe, according to Lufthansa Cargo.
