Eastland will be based in Washington DC.

“In the aerospace and defence industries, technology and global compliance is now more important than ever, especially with the changing trade environment,” said Eastland. “SEKO’s expertise in the sector developed over many years, alongside its technology, means we can offer customers solutions that are second-to-none.”

He added that it is crucial for companies to have systems in place to manage their suppliers, especially now that supply chains for aircraft manufacturing are becoming more complex.

“Our customizable technology can be implemented quickly and gives SEKO’s customers visibility to measure the performance of suppliers against their purchase orders, delivery schedules and production deadlines,” Eastland said. “It is solutions like this that will continue to drive our growth in the aerospace and aviation industry.”

SEKO’s aerospace and aviation industry vertical was created at the beginning of 2016. It launched its first centre of excellence in Farnborough to deliver value-added services and technology solutions to customers.

Eastland was previously vice president of the domestic product at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, and has also held senior management positions at PGL, Estes Forwarding Worldwide and Allstates WorldCargo in the US, according to SEKO.
