Dachser has expanded its operations in South Korea and India to accommodate business growth with bigger premises in Seoul and a new branch in Gurugram.
According to the German logistics company, the new 479-square-metre office space in Seoul is located on the ninth floor of the Sangjin Building in the city centre and has sufficient space for further expansion. It is located above the Hongik University station and is easily accessible to clients, staff and other businesses.
“This move certainly represents an exciting development for Dachser Korea,” said Roman Mueller, managing director of air and sea logistics at Dachser Korea.
The new office will allow for the expansion of air and sea freight, warehousing and value-added services from South Korea’s capital city.
“In order to build upon the solid foundation we have laid in the last three years, it is necessary for us to continue building a high-performing team positioning us for continued strong growth,” said Mueller said.
Dachser Korea has grown from 35 employees in 2014 to 67 in 2017. It is also present in Busan and Incheon.
Meanwhile, Dachser India has set up a new branch in Gurugram, India’s largest business district located in the north of the country.
“Our continuous efforts and enthusiasm to provide intelligent logistics to all our customers has fuelled continued growth, making a move to a new facility in northern India necessary,” said Huned Gandhi, managing director of air and sea logistics at Dachser India.
The city of Gurugram in the Northern Capital Region is home to more than 250 Fortune 500 companies. The area has the third-highest per capita income in India and is a satellite city of Delhi.
“Our team will be able to liaise directly with our clients’ decision makers which allows for close collaboration,” Gandhi added.
Gurugram is also connected to the rest of the country and to worldwide destinations via Indira Gandhi International Airport and dedicated freight corridors to the seaports.
Dachser India is also present in locations including Bangalore, Chennai and Pune.
