HONG KONG AIR CARGO PASSES IOSA PROGRAMME

Hong Kong Air Cargo has completed the International Air Transport Association’s Operational Safety Audit.

 

According to Yvonne Ho [centre in photo], general manager of Hong Kong and Macau at IATA, the IOSA certifcation shows that Hong Kong Air Cargo aligns itself with some of the most rigorous safety standards in the industry. The IOSA programme is designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline, and uses internationally recognized quality audit principles.

“The completion of our IOSA registration further affirms Hong Kong Air Cargo’s commitment to the highest standards of operational safety,” said T.C. Wong [left in photo], vice president and chief operations officer of Hong Kong Air Cargo. “The audit is an in-depth look at the practices and standards of the airline with the end goal of meeting a common, worldwide standard for safety in everything we do. We fully support the continuous updating of standards to reflect regulatory revisions and the evolution of best practices within the worldwide airline industry under the continuing stewardship of IATA. Hong Kong Air Cargo will be focusing on developing a fully integrated transportation network in the Greater Bay Area including air cargo, ground transportation and warehousing services with an aim to build Hong Kong as the logistics hub.”

 

Hong Kong Air Cargo was established in 2017 and currently operates cargo services from Hong Kong to Bangkok, Dhaka, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai, Singapore and Taipei with a fleet of A330-200Fs. The company is also the general sales agent of Hong Kong Airlines’ cargo business, which covers destinations including Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Dhaka, Almaty and Istanbul.
