SILK WAY WEST BOOSTS ZHENGZHOU FLIGHTS

Silk Way West Airlines will increase its weekly frequency between Baku and Zhengzhou from four to six.

 

“With this we are entering into the new stage of our strategic cooperation with the government of Henan province and Zhengzhou Airport,” said Wolfgang Meier, president and CEO of Silk Way West Airlines. “We are excited to further strengthen this cooperation by seeing further growth.”

The Azerbaijani cargo airline announced the move at the second International Civil Aviation Organization Cargo Conference held in Zhengzhou.

 

“Within a short period of time we manage to emerge as the one of the leading cargo carriers in Zhengzhou and we are aiming to further increase tonnage and flights as Zhengzhou provides for us the perfect platform to grow in view of our core capabilities to serve the Silk Air Route in accordance to the One Belt One Road strategy the Chinese government is strategically pursuing,” said Meier.

 

Silk Way West Airlines operates a fleet of more than 10 Boeing 747 freighters, with at least two more aircraft to join the fleet in the months ahead. The carrier’s network consists of more than 45 destinations from its Baku hub, connecting China, Central Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and North America.
