Turkish Cargo has become the latest member of Pharma.Aero, the organization which aims to foster collaboration to improve the transportation of pharmaceuticals by air.
The full-membership certificate was presented to Turhan Özen, [fourth from left in photo], chief cargo officer of Turkish Airlines, at a ceremony during The International Air Cargo Association’s Air Cargo Forum in Toronto.
Pharma.Aero focuses on advocating the best interests of the pharma industry, developing air cargo as a reliable transport mode for pharma, becoming leaders in developing cool chain solutions, and growing the pharma business at member airports.
The group brings together both pharmaceutical companies and logistics solution providers to come up with projects that improve the entire transportation chain.
Turkish Airlines obtained the International Air Transport Association’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics certification in 2016.
