ANA TO FLY 777F TO CHICAGO
January 24, 2019

All Nippon Airways plans to introduce its new Boeing 777F on a trans-Pacific flight between Tokyo and Chicago from October 27, 2019, according to the flight schedule for the fiscal year 2019 released by the ANA Group.

The carrier aims to capture growing cargo demand between Asia and North America with its new large freighter.

ANA Cargo will also operate the 777F regionally to Kansai and Shanghai starting from July.

As part of the new schedule, ANA will also launch a non-stop flight to Perth from September 1 and to Chennai in the winter, both with 787-8s.

The airline said that Chennai would also offer cargo opportunities given that it is the second-largest port in India and has an established automobile industry.

Additionally, ANA will begin flying a 787-10 to Singapore from April 26 and to Bangkok from July 1.

ANA ordered two 777Fs in March 2018, saying that it would be able to use them to transport oversized cargo and items such as aircraft engines, semiconductor machinery, lithium batteries and pharmaceuticals. The carrier currently operates 12 767Fs.
