CMA CGM LAUNCHES ESOLUTIONS DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM

The CMA CGM Group has launched CMA CGM eSolutions, a new digital ecosystem which enables the transmission of relevant information and data between the company and its customers.

 

According to CMA CGM, the eSolutions platform is entirely digital and comprises an online agency and other e-commerce channels such as electronic data interchanges and application programming interfaces.

For several years, CMA CGM has developed and launched a set of digital solutions such as schedule research, quotation request, booking, shipping instructions, documentation, shipping dashboard, tracking. With eSolutions, CMA CGM is strengthening its digital customer experience by offering its clients a new sales channel which allows them to improve their productivity and develop their business.

 

A large majority of the CMA CGM Group’s bookings are already made via its eCommerce solutions, among which half are made through the group’s web platform. With CMA CGM eSolutions, customers will have the possibility to experience a 100% digital process.

 

New features are currently available at the regional or global level and will be gradually rolled out across the group’s different platforms. These include ePricing, eBooking, eBill of Lading, eTracking, ePayment and eCharges.

 

Additional features will be launched in the coming months to further improve customer experience, including value-added services such as insurance products, new features on the mobile application and other enhancements to existing features.

 

As part of its eSolutions, CMA CGM will now offer priority boarding to customers using its digital platform, allowing them to secure space on board. Priority boarding will first be offered by CMA CGM from India to Europe and will gradually be offered to other countries and carriers within the CMA CGM Group.

 

eSolutions is part of the CMA CGM Group’s strategy to focus on digitalization as a key point of development in order to anticipate customers’ needs and to make the shipping process more efficient and transparent.
