AIR ASTANA TO EXPAND ASIA PACIFIC NETWORK
October 24, 2019

Air Astana is looking to expand its network of destinations in Asia within the next two years, setting sights on launching flights to Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo.

In a statement, Kazakhstan's flag carrier said it is planning to utilize Airbus' A321LR (Long Range) aircraft for the said routes.

It noted that it is also planning to "gradually replace" its Boeing 757 aircraft with A321LR aircraft on existing services to destinations in Asia, including Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Seoul.

The first aircraft went into service earlier this month.

The Airbus A321LR is a long-range version of A321neo, with increased maximum take-off weight and associated design modifications.
