ANA CARGO JOINS DIGITAL BOOKING PLATFORM CARGO.ONE
February 20, 2020

All Nippon Airways (ANA), has announced it joined online platform cargo.one to offer its cargo customers e-booking capabilities as part of its digitization efforts.

ANA said it will also benefit from cargo.one's extensive customer base in Europe — allowing it to expand its presence in key cargo markets.

"Partnering with leading online booking platform cargo.one will help to accelerate our ambition to digitally transform our business within the coming years and to focus even more on our customer needs," said Toshiaki Toyama, senior vice president of ANA.

"With cargo.one we enable freight forwarders to book our capacity offers in a fast and frictionless manner, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."

ANA currently has an existing tie-up with Lufthansa already offering its capacity on the platform on services between Europe and Japan.

The airline noted that digital booking platform cargo.one has been accelerating its growth by leveraging network effects over the past year. In 2019, the platform distributed more than 2.2 million instantly bookable real-time offers to customers - averaging more than 6,000 a day.

ANA's strong network in Asia is expected to boost overall capacities available to cargo.one customers on important trade lanes, and help to add to the digital platform's monthly growth rate of on average 20%.

ANA and cargo.one kicked-off the integration of their core systems in mid-January and are looking forward to making ANA Cargo capacity available on the platform in the early second quarter of 2020.
