Hong Kong-based aircraft part distributor Topcast Aviation Supplies Co., Ltd. (TOPCAST) and Greene Tweed signed a multi-year agreement appointing TOPCAST as the exclusive distributor for Aerospace OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for Asia-Pacific and South America regions.

In a statement, TOPCAST said the agreement covers over 1,300 Greene Tweed products ranging from sealing solutions to structural components.

From initial ideation to production implementation, Greene Tweed provides exceptional custom-engineered solutions for OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and aircraft manufacturers.

it added that Greene Tweed’s material expertise and inter-collaborative approach bolsters our customers’ continued need revolution to shorten the downtime, increase production efficiency and equipment protection, and recognize global health and safety standards.

“TOPCAST is thrilled to partner with Greene Tweed, the industry leader of sealing systems, which offers a complete portfolio of elastomer and thermoplastic materials that when combined with state-of-the-art design provide a reliable sealing solution. We believe the addition of Greene Tweed can better serve our diverse customers across different aircraft platforms,” said TOPCAST’s Director of Business Development (EMEA), Kasper Tranberg.

TOPCAST noted that seals are applied across aircraft platforms to prevent leakage of fluids and keep the air in and dirt out, which is critically required to be resistive against high temperature, pressure and corrosion effects.

It added that the global aircraft seal market size was valued at US$ 866.91 million in 2020 and is expected to reach US$ 916.17 million in 2021, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) 6.02%; from 2020 to 2026 it is expected to reach US$ 1,231.17 million.

Furthermore, with the upcoming aircraft delivery and total order backlog among two key aircraft manufacturers, over 54,000 aircraft are soon to be in service.

"Those factors will further assure a sustainable demand for aircraft seals in the foreseeable future," TOPCAST added.
