CAROTRANS PARTNERS WITH THRUTAINERS IN SOUTH AFRICA

Non-vessel-operating common carrier will enhance its South African LCL network by partnering with local NVOCC Thrutainers International.

 

The partnership consists of direct import and export LCL services between Atlanta, Chicago and New York and Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth.

 

“We are pleased to partner with Thrutainers to deliver more direct and secure container transportation services between the US and Sub-Saharan Africa,” said Greg Howard, global CEO of CaroTrans. “Our goal is to continuously enhance our service portfolio to deliver greater efficiency, reliability and service options to our customers. Thrutainers is a premiere neutral NVO and a dominant player throughout the region.”

 

According to CaroTrans, Sub-Saharan Africa’s GDP in 2016 is predicted to rise 3.5% compared to 2015.
