Freight-forwarder network BuyCo For Growth has selected and implemented shipment-management software from solutions provider CargoSmart Limited to upgrade its collaborative IT platform.

By subscribing to CargoSmart’s shipping-data service,  BuyCo can now provide its members with information such as sailing schedules of multiple carriers, shipment-execution services and freight rates, all on a single platform.

“We are honoured that BuyCo selected CargoSmart’s solutions to elevate its platform for freight forwarders,” said Lionel Louie, chief commercial officer of CargoSmart. “Connecting cloud-based services helps to speed the digitization process for BuyCo’s freight-forwarder members so that they can improve planning and streamline the online-shipment-management process.”

Carl Lauron, BuyCo’s founder, said that the new partnership with CargoSmart would benefit all of BuyCo’s members.

BuyCo currently consists of 30 medium-sized freight forwarders and non-vessel-operating common carriers, who all use the IT platform to help grow their business.
