UPS EXPANDS WORLDWIDE EXPRESS TO 23 COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES
March 8, 2016

UPS has expanded its Worldwide Express package service to 23 more countries and territories.

The service is available in the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Guernsey, Honduras, Jamaica, Jersey, Macau, Montenegro, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Sri Lanka, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Ukraine and Vietnam.

In these locations, delivery is now guaranteed on the next possible business day by 10:30, 12:00 or 14:00, depending on the destination. These 23 areas previously only had end-of-day guarantees.

“The latest expansion covers growing markets like Colombia, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam, which are increasingly important to global trade,” said Nick Basford, vice president of international marketing at UPS. “Colombia has become a key market for US exporters due to the free trade agreement between the two countries. Saudi Arabia is a large economy with a growing middle class. And Vietnam is emerging as a manufacturing powerhouse in the Asia-Pacific region. UPS Worldwide Express service now gives customers more options to reach these and other key global markets.”

The Worldwide Express service, which is now available to 88 countries and territories comprising 94 percent of the global gross domestic product, is particularly beneficial to those with urgent international shipments, such as the high-tech, retail and industrial-manufacturing industries, according to UPS.
