April 28, 2016

The number of air and ocean shipments in the region grew by just 200 to a total of 355,800 for the year.

According to Dachser, it integrated its Asia-Pacific regional and local offices under one roof during 2015 to manage resources more effectively and improve internal management and communications. As a result, the number of locations went down from 61 to 56, with a total of 1,503 employees.

Dachser’s global consolidated revenue grew by 6.5% to €5.64 billion (US$6.39 billion). Shipments increased by 4% to 78.1 million and tonnage increased by 5.2% to 37.3 million tonnes. The main reason for the growth was the demand for overland freight services for food and industrial goods in Europe, according to Dachser.
