AA APPOINTS COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR OF HK AND OFFLINE MARKETS

American Airlines has appointed Thomas Scruby as its commercial director of Hong Kong and the offline markets of Macau, Taiwan, Southern China and Southeast Asia from May 3, 2016.

 

Self Photos / Files - Thomas ScrubyAccording to AA, Scruby is based in Hong Kong and oversees all sales and commercial activities in the region.

 

“We are delighted that Thomas has taken on this important role,” said Erwan Perhirin, vice president of Asia Pacific at American Airlines. “With his extensive experience, proven track record and in-depth knowledge of the aviation industry, we are confident that Thomas will be able to grow American’s business and strengthen our presence in the region.”

 

Scruby was previously Asia commercial director at LATAM Airlines Group. He has also worked at Hello World Travel Group in Australia and at British Airways, according to AA.

 

The airline currently flies daily from Dallas to Hong Kong with a Boeing 777-300ER, and is scheduled to launch another 777-300ER flight to Hong Kong from Los Angeles on September 7, 2016.
