KUEHNE + NAGEL ENTERS PARTNERSHIP WITH ZEBRAXX
June 8, 2018

Kuehne + Nagel has entered into a strategic partnership with Zebraxx, a provider of logistics solutions, to offer last-mile shipment visibility for Kuehne + Nagel’s customers.

According to Kuehne + Nagel, it will be able to offer additional methods for collecting and sharing delivery information, such as real-time vehicle location, photographic evidence of the state of consignments and delivery confirmation, Internet of Things validation or electronic proof-of-delivery. These will be independent of backbone systems and the carriers used.

“We are seeing an increasing need for improved visibility solutions to service our customers,” said Gianfranco Sgro, member of the managing board at Kuehne + Nagel International AG responsible for contract logistics. “As our environment becomes more and more digital, customers are demanding greater flexibility and options in the solutions we can offer them and all at a lower cost. Zebraxx has demonstrated a willingness to embrace innovative and imaginative ideas and transform them into valuable solutions for our business and our customers.”

Customers will be further integrated into the data exchange and can take advantage of enhanced mobile functionalities like alerts or ePOD. With the KN Login monitoring and visibility platform, customers will also be able to benefit from a single standardized source for all delivery information.

“We are in a long-lasting working relationship with Kuehne + Nagel,” said Bernd Heymanns, managing director of Zebraxx. “This formalization and commitment to partnership brings our companies closer and provides the platform for us to work on some exciting projects together, enhancing last-mile shipment visibility for the customers worldwide.”

Almost 10 million transactions were handled by the system in 2017, according to Kuehne + Nagel.
