HONG KONG AIR CARGO TO COOPERATE WITH TURKISH CARGO

Hong Kong Air Cargo is to cooperate with Turkish Cargo as part of its strategy to become more streamlined against fierce competition.

 

According to the carrier, members of its senior management team recently met with their counterparts at Turkish in Istanbul to discuss a number of key issues including codesharing on long-haul routes and optimal utilization of aircraft.

“We are greatly satisfied with the outcome of this important meeting between ourselves and Turkish Airlines,” said Yu Wenyong [left in photo], chairman of Hong Kong Air Cargo. “We are encouraged by the outcome and we look forward to further developing this relationship with a view to implementing support services to mutually benefit both airlines.”

 

Hong Kong Air Cargo is a subsidiary of Hong Kong Airlines and was launched in 2017. The all-cargo carrier’s route network consists of Almaty, Bangkok, Dhaka, Hangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Istanbul, Shanghai, Singapore, Tianjin, Taipei and Zhengzhou. Hong Kong Air Cargo operates a fleet of five Airbus A330-200Fs and also acts as general sales agent for Hong Kong Airlines’ cargo business.
