Paris-Vatry Airport has appointed Marcus Farrell as its new head of operations.
Farrell also joins the airport’s board of directors.
According to Paris-Vatry, the appointment is part of the airport’s ongoing development plan for both the passenger and cargo businesses.
Farrell has 28 years of experience in the aviation industry, ranging from legacy airlines to charter businesses. He started working for TWA at Paris-CDG in 1985. From 1998 to 1999 he held operational positions at Transaer in Dublin and then at Star Airlines in Paris before joining Air France’s Operations Control Centre in 1999, where he held positions including operations duty manager, training and operations support. He joined Qatar Airways in Doha and then SAS Ireland in Dublin in 2017.
Paris-Vatry is located approximately 150 km east of Paris and has two freight terminals measuring 12,000 square metres. The airport is also free of slot and noise restrictions.
