TURKISH CARGO RECEIVES SIXTH 777 FREIGHTER

Turkish Cargo has taken delivery of its sixth Boeing 777 freighter aircraft, raising the size of its 777F fleet to eight by 2020.

The 777F is an efficient, long-range, high-capacity freighter capable of flying at a range of 9200 kilometres (5716 miles), capable of carrying 102 tons and equipped with a high level of fuel-saving and technical safety.

The plane took off from Everett Paine Airport (Seattle/USA) and landed at Ataturk Airport.

In a statement, Turkish Cargo said it is rapidly expanding its fleet as it aims to be one of the top five global air cargo brands in four years.

In August, Turkish Cargo has increased its tonnage rate by 7.5%, ranking 7th across the air cargo market.

"Maintaining its sustainable and accomplished growth with air cargo operations at more than 300 destinations including 88 direct cargo destinations at 126 countries across the world, Turkish Cargo aims to be one of the top five global air cargo brands by 2023," the company said in a statement.
