Hangzhou-based YTO Express Airlines has announced it has started a three times weekly freighter service between Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
In a statement, it said the freighter flight — which began January 16 — will be operated using a Boeing 757F aircraft with further expansion plans for Asia and Russia.
"The airline reportedly plans to launch Shijiazhuang-Seoul and Shijiazhuang-Osaka freighter service, aligning with Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport's development plan to expand international cargo service network to South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and Russia," YTO said.
The new service will promote connectivity and economic exchanges between Hebei Province in northern China, and Central Asia — along with other cities in the Belt and Road route.
Some of the goods to be exported out of the Chinese city include general e-commerce goods, clothing and light industrial products, while fur from Kyrgyzstan and other agricultural products are expected to enter China.
