Bengaluru is not without competition in South India. Hyderabad, which boasts of its location in Central India, makes a clear pitch for the charter market via HC3–the Hyderabad Cargo CharterCircle.
HC3 is an innovative and dedicated platform for facilitating cargo charter operators. Not only is it the first of its kind in India, but it is also deemed strategic for Hyderabad.
The programme is membership-based, which gives affiliates several benefits, including additional free cargo storage time, a single point of contact for all aspects of cargo handling and a 24/7 customer-centric response.
On top of this, there will be priority storage allocation and end-to-end logistics support within the terminal.“Cargo charters hold a lot of promise,” says SGK Kishore, CEO of GMR HyderabadInternational Airport Limited, who described the cargo charter market as emerging.
“Realizing this potential, we have launched the HC3 platform, which will act as an industry forum led by Hyderabad Airport to give the value add and advantage to this segment of the industry and help boost trade and logistics.”
The airport offers a strategic locational advantage linking all major Indian cities within two hours flying times. It is also well-positioned globally, within a five-hour radius from all major cities across the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Hyderabad International Airport has the distinction of building the first modular, integrated cargo facility in the country with 150,000 MT of cargo handling capacity per annum.
