MASkargo, the cargo arm of Malaysian Airlines, recently announced the launch of its partnership with Ethiopian Airlines for freight services.

The two airlines will partner on a weekly operation using Ethiopian Cargo’s Boeing 777 freighters for a Brussels—Dubai—Kuala Lumpur—Brussels service.

Speaking about the new partnership,” said Ibrahim Mohamed Salleh, MASkargo chief executive.

Europe expansion

“This exciting partnership, while supplementing our own services, will help us in expanding our reach into Europe thus offering our customers options for their cargo movement,” he added.

This week, the first flight from the new partnership arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport from Dubai, carrying 96 tonnes of cargo.
