Embraer has commenced its restructuring process, with the reintegration of the commercial aviation business.
In a statement, the Brazilian airframer said the company appointed Arjan Meijer as president and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, succeeding John Slattery effective immediately.
Meijer, who replaced Slattery has a vast marketing and sales experience as a former chief commercial officer of Embraer since 2017.
He will report directly to Embraer president and CEO Francisco Gomes Neto.
Meanwhile, longtime GE Aviation CEO David Joyce is retiring after 40 years and will be succeeded by Slattery, who will become president- and CEO-elect on July 13. He will take the full position on September 1.
