Kansai Airports announced that Lufthansa Cargo will fly a new Boeing 777F freighter, beginning October 28 — expanding the frequency of its operation at the Japanese airport.
Lufthansa Cargo is currently operating two weekly flights at Kansai International Airport.
Between November 12 and December 10, the airport said Lufthansa Cargo will add one weekly flight, resulting in three weekly services.
With this aircraft replacement, the cargo carrier’s freight capacity will increase by 20 tons per flight, improving their transportation capacity to Europe.
"Kansai Airports will continue expanding its cargo carrier network for the greater convenience of cargo owners and freighters while striving to contribute to the economic development of Kansai and destination areas," it said.
The new service will fly the Frankfurt - Kansai – Seoul – Frankfurt route, departing from Kansai on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The B-777F aircraft has a freight capacity of approximately 103,000 kgs.
