EVA Air saw its cargo revenue continue to grow in March — sustaining the growth momentum in the segment even as its passenger operations remain weak.
The Taiwanese carrier said its cargo volume was up 52.5% last month to 74,446 tonnes. Cargo traffic — measured in revenue freight tonne-kilometres (RFTKs) — also increased by 57.2%.
Cargo capacity, measured in available freight tonne kilometres (AFTKs), also saw an increase of 47%, while cargo load factor was at 96.1% in March, or expanding by 6.2 percentage points, according to its financial highlights.
Meanwhile, the carrier reported that its passenger volume continues its drag, dropping by 90.4% year-on-year to 23,029 for March.
