DHL Supply Chain has appointed Steve Walker as Chief Executive Officer of DHL Supply Chain Thailand Cluster which consist of Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.
In a statement, the contract logistics solutions unit of DHL, said Walker takes over from Kevin Burrell, who has left the organization as of April 20.
It added that Walker will be based in Bangkok to oversee business strategy and new business development.
He will also be responsible for driving growth in warehousing, transportation, value added supply chain services as well as spearhead the digitalization, innovation and sustainability projects across the different markets.
Key market for DHL

Walker was most recently the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer, for DHL Supply Chain in Asia Pacific, where he took charge of technology and operations excellence across more than 700 operational sites in the region.
He is also an industry veteran with nearly four decades of experience in navigating global supply chains, and has played a key role in improving operations processes, enhancing service quality, developing customized solutions as well as led digitalization and innovative logistics projects for customers.
