On August 23, Qatar Airways Cargo will expand its capacity on the WebCargo air cargo booking platform to 39 more countries.
Since February of this year, the airline has been progressively expanding its footprint in new nations and areas that use the platform.
The carrier's network will reach 72 nations as part of the worldwide expansion.
"Within a short span of six months, we will complete our global rollout of WebCargo by Freightos on 23 August and I am proud of all our teams who have worked dedicatedly all these months to ensure a successful implementation," said Qatar Airways chief officer cargo Guillaume Halleux. "At Qatar Airways Cargo, the customer is at the core of all our activities and we will continue actively with our digitalisation initiatives for the benefit of our customers."
Zvi Schreiber, chief executive of WebCargo parent Freightos Group, for his part welcomed the rollout of Qatar Airways Cargo in 39 more countries.
"We are proud to now be expanding our partnership to include an additional 39 countries, allowing key markets such as India, Japan, and Latin America direct access to real-time pricing, capacity, and e-bookings on the world’s largest cargo airline," Schreiber said.
Just last month, Qatar Airways Cargo rolled out its capacity through WebCargo in the United States starting July 19.
