Taiwan-based Wan Hai Lines is looking to purchase secondhand boxships worth US$320 million as the shipping line looks to expand its fleet.
The container vessels is expected to be placed by the line's headquarters and its Singapore branch.
Wan Hai already purchased two 1,744 TEU container vessels earlier this month from Bremen Trader Shipping Limited and Sinou Shipping Pte Ltd.
The shipping line recorded about US$5.67 billion in revenue in the first three quarters of the year, or up 191.8% compared to the previous year.
Like many cash-rich container lines, Wan Hai is also seeking to expand its fleet with these additional seconhand tonnage.
