A new cargo airline in Bangladesh is expected to start operating in 2022.
The carrier, NXT Air, said it is committed to provide an "end to end solution" to expedite shipments offering a full range of air freight products and services.
"We take pride in our innovation and offer the latest transportation techniques & technologies, as we look to be the ultimate air cargo logistics provider in the industry," it added.
NXT Air told local media that it has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) and will be based mainly at the Cox’s Bazar Airport in the south of Bangladesh.
"We currently have a fleet of self-owned aircraft that service our different destinations supported by our own ground handling facilities in all operational stations," NXT Air said, adding that currently NXT Air Cargo is operating two ATR 42/72-300/212, series aircraft which are renowned for their fuel efficiency and the most robust regional turbo prop aircraft within the region.
The airline also planes to introduce a Boeing 738 later in the year to enable the airline to operate on international routes.
