Guangzhou Port Group has opened an office in the US to promote the group’s Nansha Port.

“This new partnership will be a strong option for many shippers looking to diversify their selection for a full-service origin port,” said John Painter, president and CEO of Guangzhou (Nansha) Port America. “The Guangzhou Port team has a very solid reputation for operational success. Paired with the only deep-water port on the western side of the Pearl River Delta, it makes us very excited and confident this new partnership will exceed our customers’ expectations quickly.”

Nansha Port, which is expected to handle more than 12 million TEUs in 2015, is the major contributor to Guangzhou Port Group, which operates four port areas in Guangzhou.
