DIMERCO APPOINTS JEFFREY SHIH AS CEO AMIDST ITS GLOBAL EXPANSION EFFORTS

Dimerco Express Group has appointed Jeffrey Shih as the group's chief executive officer.

In the announcement, the Taiwan-headquartered global third-party logistics (3PL) provider noted Shih's 35 years of logistics industry experience, including leadership roles in both corporate logistics and 3PL operations, primarily with Dimerco.

"He brings a deep understanding of the customers, as well as a track record of success running Dimerco's operations in Southeast Asia and, most recently, North America," Dimerco said in a statement.

Shih now oversees Dimerco's three business divisions: air freight, ocean freight and contract logistics.

According to Dimerco's newly appointed CEO, competing in today's turbulent markets requires precision-operated supply chains, and partnering with the right global 3PL can be a crucial competitive advantage.

"My focus, first and foremost, will be taking care of the customer and providing the high level of logistics management service they expect," Shih said.

"Looking ahead, Dimerco will continue its global expansion efforts, particularly in the US market. We'll continue to be a major logistics service provider in supply chain digitalization through the use of robotic process automation (RPA) and artificial intelligence (AI) — driving toward the elimination of traditional, paper-based work processes that remain all too common in global freight management," he added.

Paul Chien, founder and chairman of Dimerco, said Shih's "visionary leadership and deep industry knowledge are exactly what Dimerco needs at this pivotal moment."

"Companies are hungry for a professional 3PL that can efficiently connect their markets and production hubs in Asia with the rest of the world. That's been Dimerco's mission for the last 52 years, and Jeffrey Shih is well qualified to improve and expand on that mission," he said.
