IDEC Group Asia Vietnam has kickstarted the development of its Horizon Park project, an industrial and logistics park in Bac Ninh, Vietnam.
The group announced that on December 13, it brought together representatives of the local authorities, players and stakeholders in the Horizon Park project for the traditional laying of the first stone ceremony.

"We are proud to see the result of several months' work with this groundbreaking project, which stands out from the locally available offering," said Patrice Lafargue, president and founder of GROUPE IDEC.
Lafargue noted that for more than 20 years in France, the company have been developing business and logistics parks, vectors of jobs, regional attractivity and responsible commitment.
"With Horizon Park and the commitment of the IDEC GROUP ASIA Vietnam teams, we are integrating the same approach, the same degree of exactingness as in France, with a little extra bit of the French soul and spirit that was missing from the logistics and industrial offering in Vietnam," the GROUPE IDEC president and founder said.
In a statement, the company noted that the event gave them an opportunity to present IDEC GROUP ASIA Vietnam's new flagship project, currently being developed near Hanoi and whose construction began a few weeks ago.

IDEC Group noted that Bac Ninh, a province situated 35 kilometres from Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, proposes choice arguments for industrial and logistics businesses looking for the perfect place benefiting from excellent access.
"In the space of 20 years, Bac Ninh has gone from a farming province to one of the largest industrial centres in Vietnam," said François Magnier, CEO of IDEC GROUP ASIA Vietnam.
"This area boasts one of the highest economic growth rates in the country and is positioning itself as one of the country’s new industrial and logistics hubs."
He added that Noi Bai international airport, the major port in Hai Phong just one hundred kilometres away, and connections to the main highways offer it major advantages for meeting the storage and transit challenges in the immediate vicinity of several large-scale industrial sites.
Developed on a 12-hectare site, Horizon Park has been imagined around multi-temperature platforms and industrial buildings that will eventually propose 70,000 sq.m of ready-for-business buildings, for sale or for rent.
In detail, 26 storage units of about 2,500 sq.m each will benefit from a European equivalent category A logistics standard, with a floor load of 5 tonnes per sq.m, free heights of nearly 11 metres and all the equipment required for their functioning (levellers, sectional doors, fire detection systems, etc.).
"This turnkey offer, inspired by the support that GROUPE IDEC proposes to its customers in France, is quite disruptive in Vietnam. We have already had several very advanced discussions with future tenants of one or more storage units. This illustrates the quality of the product that we are developing here in Bac Ninh," Lafargue said.
The IDEC Group noted that Horizon Park has been developed to comply with a responsible and sustainable approach. It would also aim for a Leed Gold certification which includes, in particular, a photovoltaic installation which will cover part of the various warehouses.
The energy produced will be directly re-injected into the park and its buildings.
Flagship development for IDEC Group Asia Vietnam
IDEC Group Asia Vietnam noted that its Horizon Park would be its latest flagship project.
This Vietnam-based subsidiary was born from the association between Groupe Idec — a major real estate player founded in France more than 20 years ago that intervenes locally and internationally — and Archetype Group — a real estate and engineering company which has a strong presence throughout Asia.
