DNATA TO ACQUIRE MAJORITY STAKE IN AIR DISPATCH

dnata will purchase a majority stake in air cargo services provider Air Dispatch.

 

“Air Dispatch is the global market leader in centralized load services to the airline community,” said Stewart Angus, divisional senior vice president of international airport operations at dnata. “This latest acquisition will allow us to further broaden our portfolio to our airline customers and strengthen our position as a leading global air services provider. Air Dispatch is a company with a strong track record and valuable expertise and we are confident that they will be a beneficial addition to the dnata family.”

 

According to dnata, Air Dispatch, which was founded in 2007, also provides services such as ULD tracking and the development of flight optimization software. It airline clients include Air Berlin, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, LOT, Qantas, Qatar Airways and SAS.

 

Nick Yeadon, CEO of Air Dispatch, will continue to head the business with his management team.

dnata recently also acquired Ground Services International in the US and RM Ground Services in Brazil, and invested in ground-handling operations in Milan and cargo facilities in Amsterdam.
