IAG Cargo has appointed Lewis Girdwood as its new chief financial officer from March 1, 2017.

According to IAG, Girdwood will be in charge of driving the business to achieve financial and related targets, ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements and maintaining the right level of internal control.

“Lewis brings a diverse skillset drawn from multiple industries from which we as a business can learn,” said Drew Crawley, chief executive of IAG Cargo.

Girdwood was previously head of financial planning and analysis at EasyJet. He has more than 25 years of financial experience.

“I was hugely impressed by the drive of Drew and the senior team at IAG Cargo to deliver a first-class customer proposition,” Girdwood said. “I’m delighted to be joining IAG Cargo and look forward to supporting the growth plans of the business.”
