CMA CGM SELECTS CSSC FOR NEW 22,000 TEU VESSELS

CMA CGM has selected China State Shipbuilding Corporation to build nine new container vessels with a capacity of 22,000 TEUs.

The vessels are the largest class of container ship in the world currently on order.

 

Contracts were signed with CSSC subsidiaries Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, Shanghai Waigaiqiao Shipbuilding and CSTC respectively.

 

The largest ships in CMA CGM’s fleet today have a capacity of 18,000 TEUs.
