LUFTHANSA CARGO APPOINTS NEW ASIA-PACIFIC VP

Lufthansa Cargo has appointed J. Florian Pfaff as its new vice president of Asia Pacific, effective from June 1, 2019.

 

According to Lufthansa Cargo, Pfaff is currently its vice president of Germany. He will be based in Singapore and takes over from Frank Naeve, who has been appointed vice president of airline sales in the Americas at the Lufthansa Group from April 2019. Pfaff will continue to report directly to Dorothea von Boxberg, member of the executive board and chief commercial officer of Lufthansa Cargo.

Pfaff began his career at Lufthansa Cargo in 1989. After holding various marketing positions, he was appointed general manager of sales and marketing in Germany in 1994. From 2000, Pfaff was based in Los Angeles and responsible for various sales regions on the American continent. In January 2005 he returned to Frankfurt and was appointed vice president of global account management. In May 2006, he assumed responsibility for sales and handling in more than 90 countries and 120 stations in Europe and Africa. He has been vice president of Germany since May 2011.

 

A successor for his current position is currently being sought, according to Lufthansa Cargo.
