AIR CANADA CARGO CLOSING LAGUARDIA OPERATIONS
July 24, 2019
Air Canada Cargo has announce it will shutter its New York LaGuardia airport operations starting July 30. The Montreal-based carrier said, however, that it will continue to operate in and out of both JFK Airport in New York and Newark in New Jersey.
"Between those two stations, we provide convenient transportation by truck and widebody aircraft to connect to the rest of our worldwide network," it said in a statement.
Air Canada's cargo revenue has been on an upswing based on its financial results. Last year, the cargo segment registered a US$803 million revenue, up from the US$708 million logged in 2017 and the US$512 million cargo revenue earned in 2016.
