Chinese airline Juneyao Air is launching 3x weekly service to Manchester starting March 30, 2020.
The tag flight will be operated as a connecting service from their Shanghai Pudong-Helsinki-Manchester route using its Boeing 787-9 ‘Dreamliner.’
The new service will depart Shanghai to Helsinki at 12:55 (local time), arriving at 6:00 am (local time). It will depart from Helsinki to Manchester 7:30 a.m. and arrive 8:30 a.m. Meanwhile, turning back, from Manchester, the service will depart at 10:00 a.m. and arrive 3:10 p.m., while the last leg back to Shanghai will depart Helsinki at 5:30 p.m. and arrive in the Chinese city 7:30 a.m. the next day.
“Juneyao Air is delighted to launch its first fifth-freedom route to Manchester, and we look forward to developing Manchester’s traffic growth in the coming years,” Wang Junjin, Juneyao Air chairman said.
Juneyao Air was founded in September 2006. The carrier now owns 72 aircraft, consisting of Airbus A320 series jets and Boeing 787 Dreamliners. It operates more than 160 routes linking major cities in China as well as neighbouring countries with its major base in Shanghai and Nanjing.
In 2018 Juneyao Air has carried over 18 million passengers.
