The new vessel sharing agreement between COSCO, Wan Hai and Pacific International Lines, which officially commenced in early December, will operate a new joint Asia-US West Coast-Indian sub-continent pendulum service, which will be known respectively as the ACS/AAC3/CP2 + CI1/CIS service.
Port rotation will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Long Beach, Seattle, Lianyungang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Nansha, Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Karachi, Colombo, Singapore, Laem Chabang and Shanghai. Deployment will be twelve 8,000/10,000 TEU vessels. The first voyage of this service commenced from Shanghai on December 6.
In addition to the pendulum, COSCO, Wan Hai and PIL will also operate an Asia-USWC service known as the SEA/CP1/AC5, respectively.
Port rotation will be Cai Mep, Haiphong, Nansha, Hong Kong, Yantian, Long Beach, Yantian and Cai Mep. Deployment will be seven 10,000/10,500 TEU vessels, three from Wan Hai, three from PIL and one from Wan Hai and PIL. The first voyage of this service commenced from Haiphong on December 3.
