SAS Cargo has announced it is re-opening freight corridors to China as it moves to continue expanding its network and reopening more routes. 

SAS restarted the service on September 30, flying between Copenhagen and Shanghai again, marking its return to Asia.

It said the route is operated by its brand new Airbus A350, a state-of-the-art aircraft that is one of the most modern and fuel-efficient in the industry, emitting up to 30% less than previous comparable aircraft.

"This fully loaded A350 took off with fresh fish, king crabs, spare parts, laboratory equipment and other important goods that are exported from Scandinavia to China," SAS Cargo said.

Currently, it is flying to 75 destinations and operate up to 380 flights a day.
